European Big Data Value Forum 2024

October 2 - October 4

EBDVF brings together industry professionals, business developers, researchers and policy-makers from all over Europe and other regions of the world to advance policy actions and industrial and research activities in the areas of Data and AI.

The programme includes the most important topics of the community, presented by our members, collaboration partners and representatives from European research and innovation projects. Together we are delivering sessions and workshops shaping the way forward for big data and data spaces, illuminating how businesses can harness the power of Trustworthy AI and discuss the role of high-performance computing as an enabler for digital transformation. We take a comprehensive view of these topics from the perspective of many European economic sectors not forgetting the societal implications of the rapidly advancing technologies.

CoGNETs will be participating in the automotive session titled “Bringing Advanced Digital Technologies to Applications in the Road Transport Sector“, where Giovanni Rimassa (Martel Innovate) will present on the project’s IoT-to-Cloud swarm continuum approach to developing more performant and efficient Battery Electric Vehicles.

The session on automotive will focus on collaboration in the fields of AI, data, and robotics technologies, particularly in road transport. Europe is currently facing significant challenges in adopting technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and edge/cloud computing. In the automotive sector, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineers are restricted by established workflow models, the need to ensure systemic properties like safety and robustness, as well as strict regulatory compliance. This session will present recent insights on bridging the gap between these specific constraints and the capabilities provided by modern software tools and -technologies.

Agenda of the session:

  • Bringing the future of mobility to market, Continental Autonomous Mobility Hunguary Kft., Gergely Debreczeni
  • Driving towards Adaptive Performance of Battery Electric Vehicles: Enhancing Powertrain Technology through CoGNETs’ Intelligent IoT-to-Cloud Solutions, Martel Innovate, Giovanni Rimassa
  • Adoption of a Test Data Space for Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility – Insights from the FAME Project, Vicomtech, María Teresa Linaza
  • Bringing ADR technologies to Application in Road Transport Sector, AVL List GmbH, Bernhard Peischl
  • Panel discussion on how to adopt ADR technologies in road transport (all session participants)
