ICE – the International Conference on Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (ICE IEEE/ITMC) – is a flagship event of the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS). Originating from a strong foundation in concurrent engineering, the conference has grown to embrace the broader organisation of engineering processes, their integration within corporations and networks, and their impact on society.

ICE explores systems engineering as a socio-technical task, focusing on the design of products and services, as well as the entrepreneurial and innovation processes that enable their adoption. Today, ICE places special emphasis on the digital transformation of engineering, technology, and innovation, particularly how digital methods and technologies are reshaping organisations and driving sustainable, user-centered, and economically viable solutions.

By integrating academic research with real-world industrial and policy perspectives, ICE offers a unique platform for participants to engage in cutting-edge discussions on technology management, innovation practices, and digital engineering strategies. Topics such as AI, IoT, blockchain, and cyber-physical systems are explored in the context of engineering excellence, strategic alignment, and societal impact.

ICE IEEE/ITMC continues to evolve with the fast-paced changes in technology and global priorities. It addresses critical challenges such as climate change, energy transition, urban sustainability, and crisis management—fully aligned with major European and global missions, including the Horizon Europe programme.

Each year, the conference brings together a dynamic international community of researchers, engineers, innovators, and policymakers to share knowledge, projects, and case studies. Participants are invited to contribute to paper sessions, plenary debates, special workshops, and exhibitions that foster collaboration across sectors and disciplines.

ICE remains a highly regarded academic and professional forum, committed to bridging the gap between technological advancement and effective management, ensuring innovation delivers both economic value and societal progress in an increasingly complex world.
